What to Expect in Your First 30 Days With ICG
The first month of working with a new marketing partner can feel like a whirlwind, and at Indigo Collective Group, we’ve designed a process that keeps things focused, strategic, and impactful from the start. Whether you're engaging us as a Fractional CMO, a Marketing Manager, or a mix of both, here’s what our first 30 days together typically look like:
Before Week 1: Signed Contract, Onboarding and Preparation
Once the contract is signed and in place, you’ll receive a welcome email outlining everything needed to kick things off. That includes:
Access requests for key accounts and platforms (social, website, email tools, etc.)
A request for brand guidelines, logos, and existing materials
Set up of communication cadence and meeting schedule
Invoicing and admin details
This onboarding step ensures we have everything we need to integrate seamlessly into your business without slowing you down.
Week 1: Kickoff Meeting
We’ll schedule a kickoff call to review any outstanding onboarding items, get aligned on priorities, and understand what’s already in motion. This includes:
Reviewing existing marketing assets, campaigns, or brand content
Identifying in-progress initiatives and deciding what’s worth continuing, pausing, or evolving
Aligning on the biggest business goals and where marketing can make an immediate impact
Gaining an understanding of your target audience and current messaging. If foundational messaging isn’t clearly defined, we’ll complete that together in the next phase.
We also use this time to hear your vision, pain points, and preferences so our strategy feels like a natural extension of your brand and not just a list of tactics.
Weeks 2–4: Define, Launch, and Track
In the remaining weeks of the first month, we get to work on the core of our approach:
Audit your existing materials, campaigns, and channels to identify gaps and opportunities
Review and research your target audience and define the best marketing tactics to reach them
Write or refine your messaging, if not already defined, to ensure consistency across all touchpoints
Build a clear strategic roadmap and marketing calendar that aligns with your goals
Define tactical execution and begin implementing initial priority tasks to build momentum
Launch initial content or campaigns to start generating visibility and traction
Set up tracking mechanisms for performance measurement and monthly reporting
This phase is all about smart momentum, balancing strategic clarity with quick wins to show progress and start generating results.
We Don’t Just Plug In, We Partner
Every business we work with is different. That’s why our approach is rooted in listening first, then building something that’s right for you. Whether you need a campaign launch, marketing structure and leadership, or ongoing execution across channels, we’ll tailor our support to meet your needs.
The first 30 days set the tone for everything that follows, and we make sure it starts strong.
